EGR delete for your vehicle
Diesel EGR faults are not make-specific. The valve is a weak point in virtually every diesel engine, and the result is always the same: limp mode, fault codes, black smoke, and a workshop quoting you for a part you may well need to replace again within two years. We offer a permanent fix through ECU remapping. We remove the EGR from the engine management software entirely. No parts. No workshop visit. We come to you.
Below is an overview of the makes and models we cover regularly. If yours is not listed, call us on 0161 694 7331 and we will confirm whether your vehicle is suitable.
Important: EGR delete is for off-road and track use only. This service is not for vehicles used on public roads.
Makes we cover
BMW
BMW's B47, N47 and M57 diesel engines are repeat offenders for EGR faults. The 3 Series, 5 Series, X3 and X5 all appear regularly on our booking list. Limp mode triggered by EGR failure is one of the most common complaints we deal with across the BMW diesel range, and the ECU delete gives a permanent resolution without the expense and uncertainty of repeated valve or cooler replacement.
Audi
Audi TDI engines, particularly the 2.0 TDI EA189 and EA288 units, are among the most common EGR failure platforms we work on. A4, A6, Q5 and Q7 owners tend to see EGR valve failure, EGR cooler failure, or both, often after the original repair has already been done once. The ECU remap removes the circuit from the software entirely.
Ford
The Ford Transit is the single most common vehicle we see for EGR work. The 2.0 EcoBlue and 2.2 TDCi engines both suffer EGR cooler failures, often at relatively low mileage. The Ranger with 2.2 or 3.2 TDCi sees similar faults. Many Transit operators use their vehicles on construction sites or rough ground, where the off-road-only nature of this service applies directly.
Mercedes
The OM651 engine fitted to the Mercedes Vito and Sprinter has a well-documented EGR failure record. We also cover C-Class and E-Class diesel cars. Van fleet operators running OM651-powered vehicles find that the ECU delete pays for itself quickly against the cumulative cost of repeat repairs and downtime.
Land Rover
EGR faults appear across the full Land Rover diesel range: Discovery Sport, Defender, Freelander 2 and Range Rover Sport are all vehicles we work on regularly. Defenders in particular are frequently used in genuinely off-road conditions, which makes the off-road-only nature of this service a natural fit for many of the owners we hear from.
Vauxhall
The Vauxhall CDTi platform sees frequent EGR faults across the range. The Insignia 2.0 CDTi and the Vivaro 1.6 and 2.0 CDTi are the most common models we deal with. Vivaro owners in the trades often use their vans on building sites and other off-road environments where this service applies.
One price, every vehicle
EGR delete is £220 flat, regardless of make, model or engine. There are no call-out charges and no hidden extras. The same price applies whether you drive a BMW X5 or a Ford Transit.
