Peugeot EGR delete
Boxers on the courier run, Experts on the trade round, Partners parked outside every job in town. The use that fouls a Peugeot's EGR is the use we come out to. Mobile software delete at your yard, depot or home, £220.
Call 0161 694 7331 with the reg and we will confirm the engine and a time.
For off-road and track use only.
How Peugeot vans get used
The Peugeots we get called to are trade and courier vans. A Partner does the plumber's or electrician's week: six or seven addresses a day, the engine off at each one, a run to the merchant in between. An Expert carries the kitchen fitter, the glazier and the parcel subcontractor on rounds where the longest single leg is twenty minutes. A Boxer runs as a high-roof panel van on multi-drop, a Luton on removals or a dropside for the builder, with a tail-lift idling at every stop. Hire and courier fleets run all three on contracts where the van rarely sees a motorway.
That is the week the EGR system handles worst. Recirculated exhaust carries soot, and soot only burns off when the intake stays hot for a sustained stretch. Short hops, idling and low-speed loaded running never get it there, so carbon builds on the valve until it stops seating, and on the older engines the cooler behind it clogs and, with age, starts to weep coolant. Plenty of Boxers and Experts also spend part of the week on ground that is not a road: housing developments, plant compounds, farm lanes, event fields. That is the use this service exists for.
What changes after the delete
The ECU stops commanding the EGR valve, so a valve stuck with carbon can no longer put the van into limp mode or store a P0400-series code. The EGR circuit is closed in software, so exhaust gas stops passing through the cooler and the route by which a cracked cooler pushes coolant into the intake is shut. On the BlueHDi engines with a low-pressure loop as well, both circuits are covered. There is no repeat valve bill, nothing comes off the engine, and the van stays where it is parked. About an hour, then back on the job with fuelling, boost and torque exactly as Peugeot set them.
Peugeot models and engines we cover
Peugeot's vans are shared with Citroën, and the Expert is also sold as the Toyota Proace, so the faults below turn up under three badges. The Citroën EGR delete hub covers the Dispatch and Relay, and the Toyota EGR delete hub covers the Proace.
Boxer (2006 onward), 2.2 HDi 2006 to 2016, 3.0 HDi F1C to 2016, 2.0 BlueHDi DW10 2016 to 2019, 2.2 BlueHDi from 2019. The Ford-derived 2.2 cracks its cooler and sticks its valve; the DW10 sticks its valve. It is the Citroën Relay and Fiat Ducato under another badge. See Peugeot Boxer EGR delete.
Expert (Mk2 2007 to 2016, Mk3 2016 onward), 1.6 HDi and BlueHDi DV6 to 2019, 2.0 HDi and BlueHDi DW10, 1.5 BlueHDi DV5 from 2019. The DV6 fouls its valve with carbon and is the usual limp-mode call; the DW10 sticks its valve; the DV5 is newer with a thinner record. See Peugeot Expert EGR delete.
Partner, 1.6 HDi and BlueHDi DV6 to 2019, 1.5 BlueHDi DV5 from 2019. The same DV6 valve carbon as the Expert, on a van that does even shorter runs. No model page yet; we confirm from the reg.
208, 308, 3008, 5008 and 508, DV6 1.6, DW10 2.0 and DV5 1.5. Same three engines, same valve-sticking record, on cars that mostly do school runs and commutes. Confirmed from the reg.
Every engine above is £220. If yours is not listed, call 0161 694 7331 with the reg and we will check it.
More than one Peugeot
Run three Experts and a Boxer? We do all four in one visit, at the yard or depot, worked around the shift pattern so the vans go out as normal. £220 per vehicle, no call-out charge on top, and each van is off the job for about an hour. Send us the reg for every van beforehand and we confirm the ECU type on each before we set off, so nothing holds up the day.
