Same-day EGR delete, mobile service across the North West

An EGR fault does not always announce itself gradually. One morning the van starts fine; by lunchtime it is in limp mode, down on power, and refusing to pull. If you run a commercial vehicle or a working fleet, that is not a problem you can park until next week.

We are a mobile EGR delete specialist. We come to you, yard, depot, driveway, or roadside, and carry out a full ECU software EGR delete on the same day in most cases. The modification takes around an hour. The van drives out under its own power.

Price: £220 fixed. Call 0161 694 7331.

For off-road and track use only.

Why EGR faults send vehicles into limp mode

The exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valve recirculates a portion of exhaust gas back into the engine's intake to reduce NOx emissions. Over time, especially in diesel vans doing short runs, urban work, or stop-start delivery routes, the valve and the intake manifold become clogged with carbon deposits.

When the ECU detects that the EGR is not performing as expected, it logs a fault code (commonly P0400, P0401, P0403, or similar) and drops the engine into a restricted power mode. This is limp mode: enough to limp home, not enough to work.

Cleaning the valve can help temporarily, but on high-mileage commercial vehicles the valve often fails again within months. A delete removes the system from the ECU permanently so the fault cannot recur.

Software-only delete, no hardware removed

Our EGR delete is carried out entirely through the OBD port. We modify the ECU software to disable the EGR system cleanly, suppressing associated fault codes and dashboard warnings. No hardware is cut, removed, or blanked off as part of the process.

This means less risk during the procedure, no need to strip the engine bay, and a neater result on the vehicle's management system.

Commercial operators cannot afford to wait

Booking a van into a dealership or independent garage for an EGR issue typically means a week's wait for a slot, a diagnostic charge, and then a repair bill for parts and labour that often exceeds the cost of a delete several times over.

We keep our diary flexible for urgent commercial callouts. Same-day availability depends on your location and the day, but we cover the full North West and aim to turn urgent requests around quickly. Call us early for the best chance of a same-day visit.

We cover Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Cheshire, Merseyside, and surrounding areas.

Frequently asked questions

Will the EGR delete clear the limp mode straight away?
Yes. Once the ECU modification is complete and any stored fault codes are cleared, limp mode caused by the EGR fault will be resolved. The vehicle should return to full power immediately.
Does it work on my van?
We cover most common diesel vans including Ford Transit, Vauxhall Movano and Vivaro, Volkswagen Transporter and Crafter, Mercedes Sprinter, Fiat Ducato, Renault Trafic and Master, and others. Call us with your make, model, and year for confirmation before booking.
Do you have to come to a garage or can you come to us?
We are fully mobile. We come to wherever the vehicle is, whether that is a yard, a building site, a depot, or your home. No recovery required.
Is this suitable for vehicles used on the road?
EGR delete is for off-road and track use only. You are responsible for ensuring your vehicle meets the emissions requirements applicable to how and where you use it.
