EGR delete in Sale

An EGR valve replacement in a diesel van is typically a £300–£600 job fitted. On older vehicles that have spent years doing stop-start work through Sale or looping round the motorway network, corrosion around the valve fixings can add to the labour time and the final bill. The job becomes more expensive the more entrenched the fault is.

For vans that have already been through one replacement, or two, the pattern is clear. The new valve operates under the same conditions as the original. It accumulates the same carbon deposits. It fails again on the same timeline. Cleaning visits in between add recurring cost without changing the fundamental outcome.

A software EGR delete costs £220. One visit, one price. The valve is removed from the ECU's operating map permanently, no parts to order, no return appointment, no third replacement to budget for. There is no call-out charge on top and no diagnostic fee. The maths does not need dressing up.

EGR delete is for off-road and track use only. A vehicle fitted with an EGR delete does not comply with current UK road emissions requirements and must not be used on public roads following this modification. This removes part of the vehicle's original emissions control system from the engine management map. The owner is responsible for understanding the legal position and ensuring the vehicle is only used where this modification is permitted.
