EGR clean The valve and intake tract are cleaned of carbon deposits. Cost is relatively low, but carbon builds up again, especially on diesel engines used for short trips or city driving. Results can last anywhere from a few months to over a year depending on use.

EGR replacement A new valve is fitted. Costs significantly more in parts and labour. The new valve operates in the same conditions as the old one, so the same deposits will accumulate over time.

Is an EGR delete road-legal?

No. EGR delete is for off-road and track use only. It removes part of the vehicle's emissions control system at the software level, which means the vehicle no longer complies with UK road emissions regulations. This service should not be booked for road-use vehicles.

Can you come to a residential address?

Yes. Most of our Salford visits are to home addresses. We need the vehicle to be accessible (not in a tight enclosed space) and parked on a reasonably flat surface. Driveways, street parking and yards all work fine.
