How the modification works
We connect to the vehicle via the OBD diagnostic port, no panels, no engine cover, no components disturbed. The existing ECU map is read, and a modified version is written that removes the EGR system from the engine's operating logic. The valve remains physically in the engine bay but is no longer monitored or commanded by the ECU.
Fault codes associated with the EGR system are cleared as part of the process. They do not return because the ECU is no longer looking for EGR performance data. The whole job takes 60 to 90 minutes from arrival to completion.
What happens on the day
We come to you, home address, yard, car park, or workplace. When we arrive, we carry out a full pre-remap diagnostic scan to log all stored fault codes. The remap is then written and the result verified with the engine running before we leave. All codes are cleared at the end of the visit.
