SERVICE EXPLAINER
The modification is entirely software-based. We connect to the OBD diagnostic port and write a modified ECU map that removes the EGR system from the engine's operating parameters. The valve itself remains physically in place, nothing is unbolted, no blanking plates fitted, no engine components disturbed.
Once the map is written, the ECU no longer runs the exhaust gas recirculation cycle. The EGR fault codes that triggered the warning light and limp mode are cleared at the end of the visit. Because the EGR system is no longer part of the ECU's operating map, those codes do not return.
Duration from arrival to completion is typically 60–90 minutes. The vehicle can be parked anywhere convenient.
