EGR removal Cheshire, mobile service, £220 fixed

Cheshire presents a distinctive mix of vehicles. Prestige diesel estates and SUVs sit alongside working agricultural machinery, and the county's rural road network means vehicles spend long hours at varying loads, exactly the conditions that accelerate EGR wear and carbon build-up.

For off-road and track use only.

About EGR removal in Cheshire

We offer a fully mobile EGR removal service covering Cheshire. We travel to wherever the vehicle is located, farm, yard, driveway, or business premises, and carry out a complete software EGR removal through the vehicle's OBD port. The ECU is modified to disable the EGR system and suppress all associated fault codes. No physical components are removed.

“EGR removal” and “EGR delete” are different names for the same modification. Whichever term you searched for, the service and the outcome are identical.

Price: £220 fixed. Call 0161 694 7331.

Why Cheshire vehicles develop EGR problems

EGR faults do not respect vehicle value. A prestige diesel with 80,000 miles on rural Cheshire A-roads is just as susceptible to EGR valve failure as a high-mileage van. The valve recirculates exhaust gas back into the intake to reduce NOx emissions, but it accumulates carbon deposits in the process, and once those deposits reach a critical level the ECU detects a fault and restricts engine power.

Agricultural vehicles present a different challenge: varied duty cycles, often infrequent long-run use interspersed with slow field work, can leave carbon deposits sitting in the system for extended periods. Tractors and plant machinery with diesel EGR systems are included in our coverage.

Cheshire's main road corridors also carry significant commercial traffic between the motorway network and the North West's main conurbations, meaning working diesel vehicles rack up mixed mileage in a short space of time.

What the modification involves

We access the vehicle's ECU via the OBD port and rewrite the relevant mapping to disable the EGR system. The modification removes the fault condition permanently, the ECU no longer monitors or requires the EGR system, so the associated limp mode or warning lights cannot recur from that cause.

No blanking plates, no cutting of pipework, no engine bay disassembly. The work is clean, software-only, and carried out at your location.

Frequently asked questions

Do you work on prestige diesels as well as commercial vehicles?
Yes. We cover a wide range of diesel vehicles including BMW, Audi, Mercedes, and Volkswagen passenger cars alongside commercial vans and agricultural machinery. Call us with your make, model, and year to confirm coverage before booking.
My vehicle is on a farm in a rural part of Cheshire, can you still reach me?
Yes. We come to wherever the vehicle is located within our coverage area. Rural Cheshire is within our standard 40-mile radius from Eccles.
How long will the visit take?
Around an hour in most cases. We carry out the full ECU modification through the OBD port and clear all stored fault codes before leaving.
Is EGR removal the same as EGR delete?
Yes. The two terms describe the same software modification. We use both terms because customers search for both, but there is only one service.
