What we do
An EGR (exhaust gas recirculation) valve recirculates a portion of exhaust gas back into the engine's intake. Over time, this process causes carbon build-up, rough running, loss of power, and a host of fault codes. It is a well-documented problem across diesel and petrol engines of all sizes.
Our solution is software-based. We connect to your vehicle's ECU and remap it so that the EGR system is disabled at the software level. The valve stays in place physically, but it no longer operates. There is no cutting, no blanking plates, and no risk of a physical part failing or blocking again down the line.
That matters because physical EGR deletes, while common, leave the job half done. A blanking plate can restrict flow and cause its own issues. A software delete addresses the root cause cleanly and permanently.
Why software over parts
A software-based EGR delete is faster, cheaper, and more reliable than physical removal or blanking. We can complete the work in a fraction of the time, and because nothing physical has been altered, there are no gaskets to fail, no plates to corrode, and no hardware to revisit.
The fix is also permanent. Once the ECU has been remapped, the EGR function is gone from the software. The engine no longer tries to operate it, which means no fault codes, no limp mode triggered by a faulty valve, and no recurring carbon build-up from recirculated exhaust gas.
At £220, it is one of the most cost-effective engine health decisions you can make for a vehicle that sees hard use off road or on track.
